WHO WE ARE
Five Island Lake Association (FILA), is a non-profit organization formed in 2019. Our work will be focused on supporting projects that address current lake challenges such as clarity, ecological health and phosphorous reduction. We look forward to working together to protect our beautiful Five Island Lake.
FOCUS ON LAKE IMPROVEMENTS
Five Island Lake Association will be involved in ongoing projects and activities related to improving the lake for the public's continued use and enjoyment.
AWARENESS
Awareness efforts targeted to land owners about the impact that watershed has on the lake's quality.
WATER QUALITY
Address water quality data tracking of phosphorus, chlorophyll and secchi disk depth and actions to help lake's ecological health.
FISHING
Work with Iowa Department of Natural Resources in efforts to control rough fish population and invasive species.
